MUJI Shipping & Delivery Policy

MUJI Australia ships orders with standard delivery and express rates (excluding large items such as furniture, beads sofa) below:

Terms & Conditions

Delivery rates apply exclusively to purchases made on muji.com.au. The standard delivery flat rate and complimentary delivery on orders exceeding $100 are valid for online orders only, excluding bead sofas, large furniture, and selected large storage items. 

Express Delivery is available for online orders both below and above $100 at the rates outlined on our Shipping & Delivery page. Bulky items are excluded from Express Delivery. Express Delivery options will be presented at checkout where applicable.

Orders containing both Express-eligible items and bulky items may be dispatched separately. No discount code is necessary, as delivery offers are automatically applied at checkout when eligibility criteria are met. All delivery rates and offers are subject to change without prior notice.

Bulky Items 

Bulky items (e.g. furniture, bead sofas) will incur additional delivery charges beyond the standard rates listed. Shipping costs for these items will be calculated during checkout.

Subject to specified exclusions, a standard flat rate fee per delivery and for re-delivery will apply. Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the goods fail to comply with the consumer guarantee provisions of the Australian Consumer Law.

Chocolate Items 

Chocolate items require Express Delivery to ensure product quality. Standard Delivery is not available for these products.

Carriers 

We utilise appointed carriers for all shipping requirements and deliver exclusively to addresses within Australia. Standard Delivery orders are dispatched within three business days. Express Delivery orders are dispatched within one business day. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day. Delivery lead times may vary depending on your location.

Please note that all parcels are delivered with Authority to Leave. Please be aware that our carriers’ delivery policies or zone restrictions may apply to certain areas. Where street delivery is not feasible, you will receive notification or a calling card will be left.

We endeavour to deliver goods within the estimated timeframe; however, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances or factors beyond our control.

By placing an order, you are offering to purchase a product subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.

Dispatch times may vary according to availability. Any guarantees or representations regarding delivery times are subject to delays caused by postal services or force majeure, for which we accept no responsibility. While we strive to deliver goods to your nominated address within the indicated timeframes, delivery times cannot be guaranteed, particularly during busy promotional and sale periods when dispatches may be delayed due to increased volume. Dispatch may also be delayed if payment or address information requires verification or correction prior to dispatch.

Return to Sender Orders & Incorrect Addresses

To mitigate additional costs arising from orders with invalid addresses or those returned due to failed delivery attempts, orders returned to our warehouse may incur a re-delivery fee. If an order cannot be delivered by our delivery partners, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you and arrange re-delivery at an additional shipping cost. Should you choose to cancel your order, decline re-delivery, or fail to respond within a reasonable timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order, excluding the original shipping cost.

Pre-Order Fulfilment & Delivery

Occasionally, we offer pre-orders for selected products that are currently unavailable or out of stock on our online store but are expected to be restocked shortly.

Pre-orders or back-orders require full payment upfront and will be fulfilled once stock becomes available. Full payment is required to secure the pre-order.

Each pre-order item will display an Estimated Dispatch Date, which is subject to change depending on stock arrival.

You will be notified via email of any delays to the estimated dispatch date.

We endeavour to dispatch all pre-order items within three business days of stock receipt.

Please note that if you purchase additional items alongside your pre-order, all items will be shipped together. Your entire order will be dispatched once your pre-order has been received. This policy supports our ongoing commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, as well as yours, by limiting shipping emissions through consolidated parcels.
